Emily Atack has shared the real reason for her social media silence as she thanked fans for her birthday messages.
The 34-year-old celebrated her birthday on Monday (December 18) and headed over to Instagram to share a number of gorgeous snaps of herself alongside her close pals. Some of the photos were of Emily enjoying herself with friends as well as snaps on the red carpet.
Heading back to her social media platform today (December 19), Emily shared a playful selfie where she could be seen sticking her tongue out. Tying her famous blonde locks into a bun, the star wore a tiara emblazoned with the words: "It's my birthday."

Emily also took the opportunity to address her lack of updates on Instagram. Although the TV star has been sharing a few snaps on her Instagram stories, her last post on the platform was in October where she enjoyed an Italian getaway.
Captioning her latest snap on Instagram stories, she said: "Thanks for the birthday messages, everybody. I've been quiet on her recently and focusing on actual real life, working hard and having some time away from social after a helluva year but I'll be back properly soon.
She also wished her fans well for the festive season ahead. She added: "Hope you are all living your best hungover lives and getting ready for the family rows and deflated wobbly blow-up beds!"
The news comes after it was revealed celebrity chef Glynn Purnell has been dating Molly Robbins, who is the daughter of actor and comedian Ted Robbins and the cousin of Inbetweeners star Emily. The Secret Chef star, 49, previously posted loved-up snaps with the baker, 31, confirming their relationship to his friends and fans on his Instagram.
Baker Molly was also linked to Bake Off star Paul Hollywood. According to reports at the time, Paul was talking to Molly over text even though he was still married to his ex-wife Alexandra Hollywood

A source said at the time: "Paul and Molly grew close and had a real chemistry between them, they started texting and messaging regularly and things quickly escalated. Paul is a very warm and generous guy, Molly was delighted with the watch and proudly showed it to family members saying it was from Paul. He gave her loads of presents โ he was very thoughtful in that way."
